Stormwall Epilouge

So on Monday this week I played my first game with the new Stormwall. I played a 50 point game against our local pressganger here in Fort Wayne. I played a p-Haley army with; a unit of stormblades, stormclad, storm strider, a sentinal, B13, Lady Aiyanna & Holt, and a Stormwall colossal. My opponent played minions focusing on a tier four list using Maelok the dreadbound.

The game opened up with his army incorporeal, which is why I used Aiyanna’s Lurynsar’s Touch on Storm Strider and had it throw some bolts into his front line. We were playing the occupy scenario and the only thing I had firmly in the center line was my Stormwall. I took out a boneswarm and a full Gatormen posse. He took out the B13, the sentinel, holt, and the entire unit of stormblades. At midpoint he placed his unit of Bog Trogs. The did nothing to the Stormwall. Feeling very confident I decided I was going to go in for my first castor kill. I’ve been playing Warmachine for about a year and a half now and I have yet to win a fair game. I won one once, but that was on a technicality.

So as I was saying, I was feeling confident about what the Stormwall could put down and take. So I pulled away from a full unit of ten bog trogs in melee with my back acrh…

yeah I know now what a bad Idea that was.

After ten very painfull free strikes with boosted die rolls, half my stomwall moved into range to kill Maelok. But with only one functional cannon I failed to kill his castor.

Then it was his turn.

His Bog Trogs attacked.

Sorry for the blurry photo. I had the peace of mind to use temporal barrier on my previous turn, but that didn’t keep the Trogs from attacking. After them there was little left of my beloved Colossal. It was till ticking with one movement box and one cortex box open. That is until a Bull snapper attacked it.

So thats what it takes to kill a Stormwall. Ten bog Trogs and a Bull Snapper. After that I don’t even remember how he killed Haley. But it was a fun game.

Though there is a bright side to this. My second game with the stormwall would have yielded a sure fire caster kill.  My Stormwall was within ten inches of the enemy castor with a clean line of sight. Both cannons and both metal storm guns ready to go. Just one problem. My castor was on fire and if I rolled a one, she would live. She rolled a six.

Well I’m not sure how it went missing, but I have reworked the files and republished the lost book. It wasn’t really lost I just didn’t get around to fixing it. anywho it’s back and available for purchase.

You can find Bridgette E-books at Lulu.com. Just click the “Books” link.

Stormwall part 3

OK…

I skipped ahead a bit.

Yeah so I got impatient and finished my Stormwall. I had so much painting energy left over that I painted P-Haley too.

Pretty much after painting the blues I paint whites. I base coat the area with grey and then cuss and layer on coats of white. The cussin’ part is essential because otherwise the paint won’t stick.

And another thing I don’t want to stick are the Mechanithralls under my boots.

Next up. Why do I need a wreck marker if my Colossal falls apart on the table?

Bridgette’s Belly Archive site

Ok. remember back when I told you folks that the old site was kaput. At the same time I screwed up the index page I also erased most of the archived comics. Since I have the comic files stored in multiple redundant places, I was thinking this might be a good opportunity to start over from the beginning. I’m not redoing the art or changing the story, just reposting the comic from the beginning so new people can catch up. I’ll keep the old Bridgette site and just have it start from the top and post daily. This way I can cut out some of the fat so to speak. Fillers, pinups, and random crap I pawned off as comic. Currently the archives go back to when Bridgette moved in with Doug and Bea. The navigation buttons might be a bit hosed up but I’ll see what I can do to fix them. I was thinking of posting the old strips here, but it would take two years of daily posts to catch up to currant content. I know people don’t want to wait two years for new Bridgette comics. So, I’m going with this Idea unless I find a better one.

Don’t forget that Bridgette comes back to the web, right here, on September 5. Thats this Wednesday.

*** Addendum 9-2-2012 ***

How about instead of using the old knackie site, I just upload the archives here on separate pages? Try it out and let me know what you think.
